LOOKING FOR LOW FAT AND GLUTEN FREE???/  Have you tried Skinny noodles?

I am always looking for new products that are healthy, and low on the carb index.  Serves my perpetual want to get in shape and lose weight while joining the OMG I am in my forties now groups!  I remember being a kid saying 40 was so old, now I am here... few more days and I feel the same as I did in my 20's minus the aches and pains... 

I have to admit when I got the package of these noodles I was in fact turned off by the look of them.  But I was not going to let that ruin my sense of adventure.  After all I am trying to set a good example for my kids.  We have a rule, "you don't have to like it but you do have to try it!"  So away I go with the noodles.  I decided to try the rice first and make stir fry.  It is my summer time go to meal.

I opened the noodles and just put them in a strainer and rinsed them in hot water.

 First I mixed them with some uncle bens chicken rice, however I hated the chicken rice so that was not a great test.  Becuase I made a gravy / sauce with my stir fry I had the Skinny rice with the stir fry alone.  This is not suggested by the way from the manufacturer but I was living on the edge.  I took a walk on the wild side and went plain.  Know what - it was great!  That being said, they actually have no flavor and just pick up the flavor of what you are eating.  The texture was similar to what I remember from cousous in my Gluten full days.

Overall when using the pasta I would use as suggested and replace half of your regular pasta with this pasta, instantly half the calories and no one even has to know!  All the while you are dieting in secret!
